These are miscellaneous ideas, mostly for smaller tattoos.
First, if the Escher idea won’t work, there’s always this remnant that’s just the wave equation, with or without the background.

I like the idea of Kanji symbols, too. Here are four, in particular, that I like. These could be stand-alone symbols, symbols with the meaning in English, boxed or not, or boxed with different or no colors. Some variation on these might work as scalp or neck tattoos, or in a line on an empty place on an arm. The nice thing about these is that the sizes and other elements are more variable than other designs.

Then there’s the classic normal curve and the underlying definite integral.

My mathematics research dealt with solving nonlinear equations. Mostly, that reduced to finding a fixed point for a mapping T. So, a tattoo about that might be nice. The first version below is pretty enigmatic, while the second was my answer when people asked what I did for a living.

Another stand-alone tattoo might be Euler’s Identity.

I’m trying to avoid tattoos that everyone else might have, like the classic Einstein one everyone thinks they know (but they really don’t). Thus, I also don’t really want a sports logo on my body, but if I did, it would be this one.

That’s it for now on tattoos. I’ll be back when Steven does his work on the Kandinski one.
